Breeders' Suggested Dilutions
For WEAK or NEWBORN Animals

 


Using MEYENBERG Powdered Goat Milk: Dilute eight (8) tablespoons of Powdered Goat Milk to 32 oz. of water (distilled or boiled and cooled). Concentration may be strengthened slowly up to twelve (12) tablespoons to thirty-two (32) oz. of water and then gradually to whole milk. Note: If using a blender, always wait for bubbles to settle before feeding.

Using MEYENBERG Powdered Goat Milk: Mix eight (8) tablespoons Powdered Goat Milk with 1 pint (16 oz.) of boiling water plus one envelope unflavored gelatin. Stir until cooled. Then add two (2) teaspoons light corn syrup, two (2) tablespoons of plain yogurt, two (2) tablespoons mayonnaise, and one (1) egg yolk (no whites). Stir well. Keep refrigerated when not in use.

 
     

Mixing Instructions for WHOLE Goat Milk
For Mature or Convalescing Animals

 
Using MEYENBERG Powdered Goat Milk: Make a smooth paste with a small portion of hot (not boiling) water required for reconstitution. Gradually add remaining water. Eight (8) level tablespoons of MEYENBERG Powdered Goat Milk makes one pint of whole goat milk. An excellent food supplement, sprinkled dry or mixed with daily ration.
 
 

Additional Breeders' Suggestions...

  • If stools are hard, 1/2 teaspoon of corn syrup (such as Karo) to two (2) oz. of diluted milk may be added.
  • For newborn animals, addition of colostrum (fresh or powdered) is optional.
  • When babies are no longer satisfied with milk feed alone, rice cereals can be added.
  • At weaning age, add diluted milk to dry food to aid in appetite development.
